The news of your departure struck me hard. For years, I've nurtured the dream of journeying to the UK, hoping to personally express my immense gratitude for the remarkable impact you've had on my life. Yet, when that day comes, I will be greeted not by your warm presence, but by the solemnity of your resting place.
I will miss the sight of the man who was a beacon of principles and love. The room will lack the genuine smile and the caring gaze of the indomitable figure I’ve grown up admiring. There is a lot that I can write about you, but what is etched in my heart, and I'm sure in many others, is the privilege we've had to know you and learn from you.
Our first meeting in 2005 at the Starehe Boy’s Centre followed by the Sunday drive through the Nairobi National Park; the lunch at Mamba Village and evening tea at Giraffe Centre remain vivid in my mind. I will miss the many conversations that we had and the readiness with which you celebrated every one of my little successes.
The bold inscription on the doors of the Assembly Hall at Starehe, “From those to whom much has been given, much will be required”, resonate with me now more than ever. I feel a deep sense of obligation and am committed to carrying forward the torch you've passed on to us.
Until we meet again on those beautiful shores, rest in peace, Malcolm.
Your legacy lives on.

I will not forget what Malcolm meant to us here in Mukuru Promotion Centre. From 1997 Malcolm was chairman and treasurer of Waves Trust. With help from Margaret and Jon he laid football fields for Mukuru Schools, supported holidays for Aids orphans and street children, supported scouting and scouts holidays, sponsored over 20 students to secondary school and 3rd level training, orgainised and paid for educational trips for children from class 5 to see and learn about giraffes and conservation for 17 years and also organized a Kerrigan cup soccer tournament between the Mukuru schools and the rehab centre which they all looked forward to and enjoyed.
We are grateful for this wonderful help to the lives and development of marginalized children. May God grant Malcolm his reward now and May he be happy and at peace. We pray for him and for Margaret and Jon and all those missing him. Sr Mary Killeen, Mukuru

It is heart breaking 💔💔 I didn't expect such a loss may God rest you in eternal peace.
Malcolm was very kind man, very caring father he always wished vulnerable children to get educated through waves funds...for me if it wasn't through waves scholarship I really don't know where I would be. You natured me, you moulded me, I just lack words to explain your generosity. I know the heaven has received an angel, we have lost you, may God receive your soul..I will miss you dad Malcom 😭😭
To family please receive much condolences and may Almighty God comfort Jon and mum Margaret it's hard to believe, but will have to accept.
Praying for you 🙏 we are mourning together in our hearts despite the distance.
